    MISSOULA – The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks took to the course for a final race with the full team at the State meet Oct. 23 in Missoula. Head Coach Shawn Holmes said the cross country team had a good state meet and the boys came really close to setting personal bests. Sophomore Conner Chadwick led the Blackhawks finishing in 22:33.57 for 63rd place. Holmes said this was his best time on the University of Montana Golf Course.   • Lady Blackhawks top seed in District 13C

    The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks finished their regular season on top of the conference with three more victories last week. This brought their record to 11-2. Their only in conference loss this season was to second seeded Granite. The Lady Blackhawks made quick work of Victor Oct. 19 putting them down in three sets 25-16, 25-12 and 25-17. Sariah Maughan led the Lady Blackhawks with 14 kills followed by Trista Wendel with 10. Madison Debernardi served up 4 aces. Ava Thornsberry had 25 assists while Wendel had 12 digs.   • Blackhawks overtaken by Vikings

    SEELEY LAKE – The Blackhawks hosted Charlo for their final game of the season Oct. 22 and fell to the Vikings 16-62. The loss gives the Blackhawks a 3-5 record for the season. Cannon Hawkinson led the Blackhawks on the ground taking the ball 133 yards on 8 carries including one touchdown. Walker McDonald scored the Blackhawks’ other touchdown on one of his 6 carries for 54 yards and scored on both two-point conversion attempts.
