SWAN VALLEY - Join Swan Valley Connections and University of Montana grad student Lauren Snobl via Zoom for a presentation Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m. regarding the impacts of the 2017 Rice Ridge fire on elk forage.
Wildfire affects the nutritional landscape for all wildlife, including elk. The quality and quantity of summer forage directly affects female elk survival, pregnancy and much more. Snobl will share findings from research conducted with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks on the Blackfoot-Clearwater elk herd.
