Chamber Chill Plunge Donates to Meals on Wheels

SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Area Chamber of Commerce donated $500 to the Seeley Lake Meals on Wheels program after raising the funds from the Chamber Chill event held Feb. 17 at the Tamaracks Resort. Twenty-three people jumped into Seeley Lake with pledges to support the Chamber and Meals on Wheels program.

"It was a lot of fun and we hope to continue the tradition in the next year," said Chamber Board member Eric Hayhurst. "A lot of communities do these plunges and they are very successful. That is what we are hoping to do here and make it an annual event and grow."

"We hope this will help your cause to further it along," said Chamber President Cheryl Lewis.

"It will help us a lot," said President of the Senior Center Boyd Gossard.

Gossard said any donations to Missoula Aging Services Meals on Wheels program during the month of March will be matched up to $2,000. Make checks payable to MAS-Seeley Lake ad bring it to the Seeley - Swan Resource Center in the Bison & Bear Center or mail to Linda Howard Seeley-Swan Resource Center, P.O. Box 25 Seeley Lake, MT 59868

"It's a real benefit to us," said Gossard. "It really helps the nutrition program here."
