Missoula County Public Schools launches strategic planning process

MISSOULA - Missoula County Public Schools (MCPS) is beginning the next phase of its long-term planning process. MCPS wants the public’s input on what they value most about MCPS and improvements for the future. Input offered through the survey and at the strategic planning sessions will be used to set the future direction for MCPS.

The public is invited to join the MCPS Board and a committee of approximately 40 teachers, staff, parents and community members in the MCPS Business Building Boardroom at 915 South Avenue from 6-8 p.m. on Jan. 23, Feb. 25 and March 25. There will be an opportunity for public comment at each session.

Please complete MCPS’s survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MCPS_Planning_Survey to provide input during the process. The survey will remain open until Friday, Jan. 17.

Calling photographers for Blackfoot Photo Contest

Photographers are encouraged to submit up to two of their best scenic photos from western Montana and eastern Idaho for a chance to be featured on the cover of Blackfoot’s next phone directory or in the 2021 Blackfoot calendar. Deadline to enter is March 1.

Ten finalists will be selected from each state. Blackfoot member-owners will then choose the winners at Blackfoot’s 2020 Annual Member Meeting in April. The winning photographers will each receive a $100 gift card and a Blackfoot swag bag.
