Holocaust survivor Leon Malmed shared his story with more than 120 Seeley Lake Elementary and Seeley-Swan High School students as well as members of the community Thursday, Oct. 24. He credited the Ribouleau family for not only saving his life and the life of his sister from certain death but also saving 'the soul of humanity." Malmed said studying history offers answers to today's problems and ensures mistakes from the past are not repeated.
SEELEY LAKE - "What is freedom? Freedom is not to live in fear. Good has always prevailed over evil – this has always been the history...I think education is a liberation of any problems that you will have in your future. Be influential in what is right and what is correct. Be righteous, be someone who can influence. And if you think as an individual you cannot influence, then think again."
