Taking the Stress out of Buying and Selling

SEELEY LAKE – "Real estate has always been an interest of mine so I thought I would try it. Turns out I like it," said Stephanie Cahoon, a new real estate agent with Keller Williams. Cahoon is offering services from Seeley Lake to Missoula and everything in between. Her goal is to make the buying and selling of a home as stress free as possible

Cahoon graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in psychology. She met her husband Tyler while at UM and moved to Seeley Lake.

"I've always had real estate in the back of my mind," said Cahoon who enjoys going to open houses and touring homes in Missoula. After friends encouraged her, she pursued her real estate license when she was unable to find a job in her field.

Upon completion of the Connole Morton course for her real estate license, Keller Williams recruited Cahoon.

Keller Williams' mission is to "build careers worth having, business worth owning, live worth living, experiences worth giving and legacies worth leaving." Their perspective is a technology company that provides the real estate platform that our agents' buyers and sellers prefer. Cahoon signed as an agent four months ago.

"I really liked their programming. They are really new agent focused. They help you ignite your business," said Cahoon. "Keller Williams is relatively new to Missoula and they are bringing in fresh ideas and seeing how things are changing. They cater to where the world is at right now [more technology focused]."

Keller Williams utilizes their own web platform as well as Zillow and Realtor.com to help advertise their properties.

"Keller Williams offers a lot of help," said Cahoon. "We are a team. It is everyone helping everyone. I'm not just offering my services, I'm offering my whole team's services."

Cahoon is a buyers' agent and can set up buyers with information on all the new homes coming available.

"I enjoy helping people find what they need and the home that they like the most," said Cahoon.

She is also a listing agent for those that want to sell their homes and helping sellers move on to the next step of their life. She will take photographs and write a description for the property as well as list on the Multiple Listing Service.

"I want to be a resource for people," said Cahoon. "If anyone has questions about the market or whatever, I'm a knowledgeable real estate resource for them too."

Cahoon said she has a coach Todd Archuleta who has been in the real estate business for 12 years. He is quick to answer any questions she may have. She sets her goals and accomplishments "and he holds me to it. If something isn't working, [he helps me figure out] how can we fix it. He's a very good encourager and very knowledgeable."

Cahoon is having a lot of fun and enjoying the challenge in her new career. Even though she is young and new to the real estate business she said, "I am very ambitious and will do whatever it takes to make sure my clients are happy at the end of the day."
