Lady Blackhawks Rack up Two More Victories

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks extended their overall record to 13-1 last week by defeating Clark Fork and Plains.

Versus Clark Fork

The Lady Blackhawks headed to Superior to take on the Clark Fork Mountain Cats Jan. 27.

The Ladies hit the Mountain Cats hard in the first half and took a 20-point lead into the second half. The pace continued into the third. Although the Mountain Cats outscored them in the fourth, the Lady Blackhawks took the game, 50-28.

Cera Strumpfer and Tessa Grimes led the Ladies with 10 points each. Both girls put up most of their points in the first half with Strumpfer scoring 8 and Grimes 9.

The Lady Blackhawks hit 8 of 10 free throws attempted. Mary Strumpfer, Chloe Robbins and Cera Strumpfer contributed to the high average, each hitting 2 for 2 from the free throw line.

Also scoring: Autumn Morse 8; Alex Bohlman 6; Robbins 4; Mary 4; Andi Bohlman 2; Jory Towe 2; Stevi Meade 2 and Ashley Miller 2.

Versus Plains

The Lady Blackhawks hosted the Trotters from Plains Jan. 28.

Propelled by three pointers the Lady Blackhawks took a commanding lead early and never looked back. The final score was 61-19 in favor of the Lady Blackhawks.

Autumn Morse hit 4 three-pointers on her way to leading the Ladies with 16 points scored. Mary Strumpfer wasn't far behind with 11 points.

More than half the Lady Blackhawks' points came from the teams 11 three-pointers. Stevi Meade and Cera Strumpfer each had a pair while Ashley Miller, Alex Bohlman and Mary each hit one.

The girls were sinking three pointers but struggled from the free throw line hitting only 6 of 16 attempted.

Also scoring: Cera 8; Alex 7; Tessa Grimes 7; Meade 6; Miller 3; Andi Bohlman 2 and Chloe Robbins 1.
