Football outlasted by Simms on the road

The Seeley-Swan High School Football Team could not overcome a strong Simms High School defense and special teams, and lost 52-14 on the road Sept 29.

The Blackhawks came into the game 2-3 after a loss to Lone Peak High School on the road. The game started competitive, as the Blackhawks made a strong first quarter drive after a Simms touchdown.

Cannon Hawkinson made the run up the left side of the field, giving the Blackhawks life early in the game. After a missed two-point attempt, the Blackhawks trailed 8-6. But the game quickly went out of control on the next play, when Simms housed a 76-yard kick return for a touchdown.

The Blackhawks also gave up a few interceptions, and couldn't make a comeback to make the game competitive. The Blackhawks are now 2-4 and return home for its final two regular season games. Seeley-Swan will face Cascade, which is also 2-4, on Oct. 6.
