Blackhawks Split Week with Eagles and Trojans

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks fell to Valley Christian and defeated Drummond last week. They now have a 7-5 overall record.

Versus Valley Christian

The Blackhawks headed to Missoula to take on the Valley Christian Eagles Jan. 20.

The Eagles proved to be the team to beat in the district as the Blackhawks fell behind early and couldn't stage a comeback. The Blackhawks fell 37-66 while the Eagles remain undefeated in the district.

Bradley Miller led the Blackhawks effort scoring 12 points followed closely by Cameron Haines with 9.

Also scoring: Cordell Turner 5; Keaton Johnson 4; Cameron Haines 4; Avery Smith 2 and Logan Robinson 1.

Versus Drummond

The Blackhawks traveled to take on an old rival, the Drummond Trojans, Jan. 21.

Early in the game the Blackhawks started to build a lead. They took a 9-point advantage into the second half but the Trojans had other plans.

Drummond cut the Blackhawks lead down to 4 by the final quarter. The Blackhawks were able to hold off the Trojans for the 44-39 victory.

Keaton Johnson and Cameron Haines were dialed in, accounting for most of the Blackhawks' points. Johnson had 19 points while Haines had 14.

Also scoring: Nino Robinett 4; Bradley Miller 3; Avery Smith 2 and Cordell Turner 2.

This Week

The Blackhawks and Lady Blackhawks take on the Clark Fork Mountain Cats in Superior Jan. 27 at 2:30 p.m. They then host the Plains Horsemen and Trotters Jan. 28 with games starting at 1 p.m.
