Lady Blackhawks Down District Foes

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks soared over the Eagles, tamed the Tigers and made the Pirates walk the plank last week. The three victories against 13-C foes push the Lady Blackhawks' overall record to 9-1.

Versus Valley Christian

The Lady Blackhawks hosted the Valley Christian Eagles Jan. 12. It was a blowout game that ended with the Lady Blackhawks on top 48-7.

Tessa Grimes led the Lady Blackhawks scoring 9 baskets worth 18 points.

Terra Bertsch hit 2 of 3 free throws. The team was only able to put in 4 of 11 free throws overall.

The Lady Blackhawks had 2 three-pointers sunk by Autumn Morse and Cera Strumpfer.

Also scoring: Alex Bohlman 6; Jory Towe 6; Morse 5; Cera Strumpfer 5; Bertsch 4; Mary Strumpfer 2; Chloe Robbins 1 and Andi Bohlman 1.

Versus Darby

The Lady Blackhawks traveled to Darby to take on the Tigers Jan. 13.

The Ladies made herding cats look easy, outscoring the Tigers two to one in the first quarter. They held the pace through most of the game to a final score of 72-36.

Four of the Lady Blackhawks broke into the double digits. Alex Bohlman scored 19 and Tessa Grimes scored 12 while Autumn Morse and Stevi Meade had 10 each.

Morse and Bohlman each hit 2 three-pointers and the Lady Blackhawks sunk 10 of 14 free throws.

Also scoring: Cera Strumpfer 7; Mary Strumpfer 6; Chloe Robbins 4; Stevi Meade 2 and Terra Bertsch 2.

Versus Victor

The Lady Blackhawks hosted the Victor Pirates Jan. 14. It was the second blowout game of the week for the Ladies. They sent the Pirates home empty handed with a final score of 55-16.

Tessa Grimes scored 11 points to lead the Lady Blackhawks. The team had 3 three-pointers and hit 4 of 7 from the free throw line.

Also scoring: Cera Strumpfer 8; Autumn Morse 8; Andi Bohlman 6; Stevi Meade 6; Alex Bohlman 6; Terra Bertsch 4; Mary Strumpfer 4 and Chloe Robbins 2.
