Lady Blackhawks Take Down Cats and Tigers

The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks continued racking up victories last week. With victories against Darby and Clark Fork they extended their record to 5-1 in conference and 8-3 overall.

Versus Darby

The Lady Blackhawks were on the road to take on the Darby Tigers Oct. 6.

The Ladies easily took game one 25-13 but the Tigers started to put up a better fight by game two. The Lady Blackhawks won a tight game two, 26-24, but game three would go to the Tigers 15-25.

The Lady Blackhawks closed out the match with a 25-19 victory.

Tessa Grimes led the Ladies with 9 kills and 3 stuff blocks. Alex Bohlman also had 3 stuff blocks and led in blocks with 5. Ashley Miller and Andi Bohlman each had 15 digs. Andi and Mary Strumpfer led with 3 aces each.

Versus Clark Fork Co-op

The Lady Blackhawks and the Clark Fork Mountain Cats faced off for the Ladies' Homecoming match Oct. 8.

The Lady Blackhawks were slow to start, allowing too many Mountain Cat aces and dropped game one 12-25.

Head Coach Tammy Lewis said the Ladies did a good job of adjusting and playing up to their potential after game one. The Lady Blackhawks overcame the Mountain Cats winning three in a row, 25-10, 25-15 and 25-13.

Alex Bohlman led the Ladies with 10 digs, 9 assists, 8 kills and 3 blocks. Tessa Grimes and Andi Bohlman were just behind Alex with 7 kills each. Grimes led with 2 stuff blocks while Autumn Morse served 4 aces in the match.
