Cahoon, Hood Lead Blackhawks

The Blackhawk's golf team was back in full swing, competing in two meets after the week-long spring break. Cold weather offered a challenge but the wind and rain didn't hinder the Blackhawks. Several players bettered their scores.

Tuesday, April 12, the Blackhawks played at Ronan and Saturday they teed off in Plains. At Ronan, Senior Joshua Cahoon led the team with an 85. Senior Jacob Haley came in second with a 92. Juniors McKinley Nicholas and Shane Lindemer tied for third at 95. The Blackhawks came in fifth overall with a team score of 367.

Saturday in Plains, Nicholas, Lindemer and Cahoon were the only boys to compete and they all hit in the low 90s.

Junior Jessie Hood continues to lead for the Lady Blackhawks. This weekend in Ronan, she bettered her score by ten strokes. In Plains, she lowered it even more and shot her personal record. Hood scored a 108 which landed her in eighth place overall.
