Lady Blackhawks Defeat Mountain Cats

SEELEY LAKE - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks faced the Clark Fork Mountain Cats at home Dec. 3.

Both teams struggled in the first quarter to put points on the board. They headed into the second quarter with the Lady Blackhawks leading 6-2.

After the slow start the Lady Blackhawks blew the game out in the second quarter. The Ladies held the Mountain Cats to just 5 points while they ran up 26. Alex Bohlman scored 10 of her 16 game points in the second quarter while her sister Andi Bohlman scored 7 of her 9 game points.

The Lady Blackhawks continued to outscore the Mountain Cats in the second half to a final score of 54-19.

Alex led the Lady Blackhawks with 16 points while Andi and Ashley Miller each had 9.

The Lady Blackhawks were off on the free-throw line hitting only 5 of 14 attempted shots. Alex hit 3 of her 4.

Also scoring: Cera Strumpfer 6; Stevi Meade 4; Mary Strumpfer 3; Autumn Morse 3; Lauryn Barnes 2 and Chloe Robbins 2.

This week

The Lady Blackhawks varsity travels to Pablo, Mont. to take on Granite, 5:30 p.m. Dec. 9. at Salish Kootenai College (SKC).

The Ladies then face St. Regis in Ronan at 12 p.m. Dec. 10. The Lady Blackhawks JV plays Charlo at 2 p.m.
