Smoke will be visible from various locations around Seeley Lake depending on the burn units and weather conditions. Each project follows a Prescribed Fire Burn Plan.     MISSOULA - Seeley-Swan High School (SSHS) band and choir along with several soloists participated in the District Music Festival April 15 and 16. The band received a Superior rating, the top rating while the choir received a rating of Good. Junior Kim Kellogg received a Superior rating for her solo and has the opportunity to go to State Music Festival in May.     The Blackhawk's golf team was back in full swing, competing in two meets after the week-long spring break. Cold weather offered a challenge but the wind and rain didn't hinder the Blackhawks.     MISSOULA - The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks headed to the Missoula County Public Schools Invitational April 16. The meet drew teams from C, B, A and AA schools making for stiff competition. Alex Bohlman was the only Seeley-Swan athlete to break into the top six. Bohlman won the javelin by more than 10 feet with a throw of 139 feet 9 inches.     SEELEY LAKE - Carol Jensen Roberts, 70, died April 17 at her home on Placid Lake. It was a beautiful, blue sky, spring day and she was in her most favorite of places. The angel choirs have added a beautiful voice to the soprano section. Carol was born July 12, 1945 in Chicago, Ill. to Arthur and Alice Jensen. The family moved to Jamestown, N.D. at the end of World War II. She attended Jamestown High School where she was the valedictorian of her class and graduated from Jamestown College in 1967... Full story
