Lady Blackhawks drop to Drummond, Charlo

The Seeley Swan High School Girls Basketball Team didn't come up with a win this week, dropping games to Drummond on Dec. 19 and Charlo on Dec. 21.

The team is sitting at 2-4 on the year, but Co-Head Coach David Cahoon said the team is getting better each week with the experience. With Christmas break, he said the team will continue to build the fundamentals.

"This team, although very young, is also very receptive," Cahoon said. "Their attitude is more than we need to get better, they are saying 'we need to put in the time right now, each day.'"

Both games started competitive, but Drummond cut away by halftime to take an overwhelming win 26-59. The Lady Blackhawks kept it to four points late in the game against Charlo, but lost 40-53.

The Lady Blackhawks are one of the youngest in the history of the team, featuring no seniors and five juniors. aThe team has gotten some help from younger players like sophomore Lillian Boyd and freshman Ryan Pitman.

The team will next face St. Regis at home on Jan. 5.
