Dance group coming to Seeley Lake

To kick off the holiday season, Alpine Artisans’ 2 Valleys Stage is presenting Missoula’s outstanding dance troupe, Bare Bait Dance, with their holiday show, The Night Before at Seeley-Swan High School on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m.

Founded and directed by Joy French, Bare Bait Dance is a professional, contemporary modern dance company. A 501(c)(3) non-profit, Bare Bait operates Westside Theater in Missoula.

Now in its 13th year of producing professional dance concerts in Western Montana, Bare Bait Dance is bringing a little joyful creativity to the holiday season. With the full power of the Bare Bait Dance company back together on the stage, Director Joy French has created a brand-new winter show celebrating the festive season. Inspired by the themes of the Nutcracker and Clement C. Moore’s poem, T’was the Night Before Christmas, French blends her signature style of fun and poignancy with the powerful talent of eleven professional BBD dancers. A little mix of merry, jingle and Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker...you’ll want to start the season of festivities with us!

Bare Bait Dance members will be presenting in-school dance performances and workshops in the four schools that 2 Valleys Stage serves on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 4 and Dec. 5 at Seeley Lake Elementary, Seeley-Swan High School, Swan Valley School and Potomac School.

Tickets for the Sunday concert are available at the door: $14 for adults and $12 for seniors. Students under 18 are free.
