Elwyn (Pete) Petry 1945 - 2023

Elwyn (Pete) Petry went home on Jan. 15. He was born in Flint, Michigan on March 22, 1945 to Annis and Theodore Petry. He had four siblings Ralph, Gloria, Wayne and Laverne. He had five children Nick, Rick, Steve, Angela and Amanda. There are 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren that will remember him through the stories told by the family. 

Pete always had a smile and loved to tease. He moved to Montana many years ago. He moved to Condon in the early 1990's. He was living in Essex and worked for a Condon contractor who brought him to Condon to work. He married Glenda Soelter in 1996. Three of his grandchildren were in the wedding. He loved the Condon area and made many friends there. 

In 2006, Pete and Glenda moved to Marion, Montana. He loved the property as it was in the middle of the woods with very few neighbors. He made many friends there. He loved sitting outside with his dogs and friends that stopped by. 

He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2021. He fought a hard battle and died at home with his best friend and Glenda by his side.
