SWAN SONG: Glen T. Taylor

Glen T. Taylor, 74, of Greenough, Mt passed away at his home on Saturday Oct. 1st, 2022 of ulcerative colitis.

He was born on August 2, 1948 in Brentwood, N,H to Fred Herbert and Bonnie Bell (Orr) Taylor.

On February 3, 1991 he married Jennie S. Batten of Canaan, NH and they lived there till moving to Greenough, Mt in 1997.

Glens love for the outdoors  and his time in Fish and Game and law enforcement took him on many adventures.  The stories he could tell and oh how he loved to tell a good story to anyone that would listen. He had his own way of telling them and sometimes with  an added version. But it was his story and he was as they say " sticking to it". He had so many  very close friends that could  collaborate but add their own versions of the story as well

He climbed most every mountain in N.H and quite a few here in Mt . He hunted most everything that moved or flew and loved to fly and ice fish as well.  His biggest joy was doing it all with his son Scott.

He loved to garden and cut his own firewood. For a few years he also ran a nursery business with  his good friend Richard Marcella of East Kingston  N.H

He was retired from Fish and Game and also from Law Enforcement. He policed for the town of Canaan and eventually became the Chief of Police.

After moving to Montana he worked as a Mall cop in Missoula . He then began delivering mail for different contractors in Missoula.  He drove the Missoula to Condon route and  helped Evan Brown deliver locally from Seeley Lake to Condon And even drove and delivered the mail from Bonner to Greenough.

The  last being Faithful Express where he delivered from Missoula as  far as Huson, Mt. And always making lots of new friends in the process. He never met anyone that  he didn't charm.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather ,brother and uncle. He and his wife virtually adopted their neighbors and friends kids and took them on journeys and taught them to hunt and fish. Three  special children became their grandkids. Austin, Kaitlyn and Madison Morgan.
