Snacks and bandanas to keep the dogs happy

Seeley Lake Market Spotlight

SEELEY LAKE – Homemade, all natural products dog treats are available each week at the Seeley Lake Market this season. Ashlyn Schatz-Eason, of Oak and Coop Bowtique and Snackery in Missoula, will be here to sell her treats along with handmade reversal bandanas for dogs.

Schatz-Eason has been making dog treats for several years.

"My dog has severe food allergies and so I couldn't just go by any snack in the store," Schatz-Eason said. "I had to start making [dog treats] and now all of our dogs absolutely love them."

This is Schatz-Eason's first year doing a booth. She is a part-time resident of Seeley Lake.

She started creating bandanas for her black hound that hates the water.

"I started making him wear bandanas because I could dunk them in the water to help cool him down," Schatz-Eason said. "It just grew to all our little dog tribe wanted them and hate when they get taken off."

Along with at the Market, the bandanas are available through Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/oakandcoop and Esty OakandCoop | Etsy.

"It is difficult to send the treats through the mail," Schatz-Eason said.

The Seeley Lake Market is held on the lawn behind the Seeley Lake Foundation Building on Sundays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. through Labor Day.
