EMT Steve Larmour taking Nola Kern's blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation with the LifePak 15. They have two LifePak 15s and one LifePak 12. There is one on each ambulance and Chief Dave Lane carries one in his vehicle. It has a four and 12-lead EKG to measure heart rhythms and has many other functions to assist a patient with heart problems.
SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Fire Department opened their doors for the Open House in celebration of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week. Attendees enjoyed a complimentary taco lunch catered by Casa Caro, toured the station and the equipment, and received free blood pressure checks.
Partnership Health Center had an informational table that offered informational materials on heart attacks and strokes. Jon Kimble won their raffle basket, a summer fun cooler filled with goodies donated by the Seeley-Swan Medical Center Clinic (SSMC) staff. All proceeds were donated to the Seeley Lake Fire Foundation.
"Michelle [Baker] and I really appreciated the opportunity to share SSMC information with the community and show our support for the awesome team of the EMS crew," said Georgiann McCoy, Seeley-Swan Medical Center Clinic Manager. "Our partnership with them helps us better serve our patients and our community."
