"For the sake of His sorrowful Passion,..."

Passages

...have mercy on us and on the whole world" (Divine Mercy Chaplet).

Genesis, Fall of Man:

God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil but the serpent/Satan deceived Eve who ate, then gave some to Adam who ate, disobeying God, causing Original Sin, which we inherited, breaking the God/human relationship, closing heaven for millennia.

AD 30-33 Divine Mercy Chronology:

Jesus said, "Amen, amen,...Except you eat [my] flesh...you shall not have life in you. He that eateth my flesh...hath everlasting life...my flesh is meat indeed..." (John 6:1-[53-56]-71).

Holy Week:

Jesus instituted the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Holy Orders at the Lord's Supper, the first Catholic Mass. Jesus blessed and broke the bread and said to take and eat, "This is my body, which will be given for you;..." (Luke 22:1-[19]-71).

Jesus' Apostles, called to be priests for His Church, would be sent to spread the Gospel worldwide. After all, "...how shall they preach unless they be sent..." (Romans 10:1-[15]-21)?

In 1Corinthians 11:1-[29]-34, to avoid judgment, only worthy Catholics should receive Jesus under the appearance of bread, through their priests, fulfilling His promise, "I am with you always" (Matthew 28:1-[20]).

Jesus asked, "Do you believe that I can do this" (Matthew 9:1-[28]-38)?

Sadly, numerous Catholics and non-Catholics do not believe, yet joy remains when cooperating with God's gifts of grace and faith doing God's Will, see Hebrews 3-4, 11:1-[6]-40; John 16:1-[7-9]-33.

Jesus proceeded, prayerfully suffering His agony in Gethsemane, "...not my will, but Thine be done" (Luke 22:1-[42]-71). Jesus said, "Watch and pray..." Are we avoiding temptation by consoling Jesus in prayer?

With Satan, Judas betrayed Jesus, see John 13:1-[27]-38.

Suffering for our sinful flesh, Jesus' sinless flesh was scourged to the bone. Courageously humiliated in reparation for our deadly sins of pride, Jesus was struck and mocked as King with a crown of thorns.

Condemned to death by crucifixion, Jesus patiently carried His cross making our crosses more bearable, strengthening His Mother's afflicted heart as she suffered alongside Him while He persevered.

Being crucified, Jesus prayed, "Father, forgive them, they know not what they do" (Luke 23:1-[34]-56). Forgive and be merciful to receive forgiveness and mercy, see Matthew 5-6.

Jesus died giving us life.

A soldier pierced Jesus' side, fulfilling prophecy; blood and water gushed forth from His Sacred Heart as a grace-filled "Fount of Mercy" for us, see John 17-19:1-[33-37]-42, reminding us sacramentally of the Holy Eucharist Body and Blood of Jesus, baptismal waters, then reconciliation/penance for additional sins.

Mercifully, Jesus reopened heaven with His Passion. The perfect sacrifice for our sins through His life-giving blood, Jesus recovered our right relationship with God; by resurrection and rebirth through the Sacrament of Baptism, which erases original and personal sins, Jesus conquered death, restoring our life.

Now:

While Jesus obediently suffered merciless torture, His most profound agony is knowing our continual unbelief, disobedience, unrepentant sinning and ingratitude for His wondrous works as He thirsts for our salvation, see Psalm 78:1-[17-20]-[32]-72; John 4:1-[7-26]-54.
