Seeley Lake Library News

SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Library Book Club will meet 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7 to discuss “The Aspen Grove” by Jane Fulkerson. Patrons are encouraged to stop by the library to pick up your copy. Masks are no longer required in the library.

“The Aspen Grove” is a story about a third generation Irish immigrant family living in Colorado in 1883. Daniel O’Neal, his wife Johanna, their daughter Sarah and their hired hands live a frugal but rewarding life raising cattle.

A catastrophic event changes all of their lives forever and their friends and neighbors must come to their aid. Sheriff Nathan Westphal and his Deputy Wilf Bennington, two men who served on opposite sides of the Mason-Dixon Line during the Civil War, seek to bring justice to the devastated family. An unexpected twist takes the story in a different direction.

The Seeley Lake Community Library is located in the Seeley-Swan High School and is open Mondays and Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information call 406-677-8995.
