BUTTE, MONTANA – The Ground Water Assessment Steering Committee finished ranking nominated projects for the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology’s Ground Water Investigation Program (MBMG/GWIP) Nov. 15. Seeley Lake’s nominated project to help understand the nitrogen contamination in groundwater fell just short of the fundable projects.
In an email to the Missoula County-City Health Department, the nominator for Seeley Lake’s project, GWIP Manager Ginette Abdo explained that Seeley’s project fell just below the number of projects that MBMG could afford to start in 2022.
