New this year, Wild Montana is accepting short, candid videos featuring people or wildlife on public lands. Participants are also encouraged to submit photos and videos that convey what “the wild” means to them and express the joy they feel while exploring public lands and waters.

Wild Montana will choose one winner in each of three categories:

• Best candid video of people or wildlife on public lands (national parks, national forests, Bureau of Land Management lands or other federally or state-managed lands)

• Best photo of people or wildlife in a Montana State Park

• Best photo that illustrates “the wild”

Mystery Ranch and Oboz Footwear is the proud sponsor the 2021 Picture Wild Montana photo and video contest. Prizes include packs from Mystery Ranch, Oboz Footwear gift certificates and Wild Montana apparel. Winners will also receive a complimentary yearlong membership to Wild Montana.

Submissions will be judged by a panel composed of Wild Montana staff and guest judge Luke Duran, art director at Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ “Montana Outdoors” magazine. Winners will be announced in February 2022.
