Free Developmental and Preschool Screening, Dec. 3

SEELEY LAKE – Missoula Area Education Cooperative is offering a free developmental and preschool clinic for children ages zero to five for Seeley Lake and Swan Valley School Districts. It will be held Friday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Seeley Lake Elementary School.

This free screening will include gross motor, fine motor, language concepts, communication concepts, communication skills, hearing and vision screening. Please call SLE at 406-677-2265 to schedule an appointment for your child’s screening or to receive more information.

Grants available for Seeley Lake projects

SEELEY LAKE - Non-profit organizations are invited to submit grant proposals to the Seeley Lake Community Foundation for 2022 projects. The SLCF awards grants of up to $2,500 for projects to benefit the Seeley Lake area. Applications are due Jan. 31, 2022 and the recipients will be announced by early March.

The Seeley Lake Community Foundation helps local groups fund important community projects in the areas of: art & culture, community & economic development, basic human needs, education and natural resources & conservation.  In this capacity, the SLCF strives to be a community resource and catalyst for innovative approaches to improving the quality of life of the Seeley Lake area.

Weekly COVID-19 update

As of Nov. 15, there have been 185,176 cases of COVID-19 in Montana. There have been 1,164,987 doses of vaccines administered and 512,018 Montanans fully immunized. There are 6,991 active cases, 9,550 total hospitalizations with 316 active, 175,695 recoveries and 2,490 deaths in Montana due to COVID-19 complications. Missoula County has had 17,047 cases, 819 active cases, 16,057 recovered and 171 COVID-related deaths to date.
