Lady Blackhawks take second at District 13C Tournament

MISSOULA - The Seeley-Swan Lady Blackhawks are heading to the Western C Divisional Tournament off a second place finish in the District 13C Tournament last weekend. The Lady Blackhawks came into the tournament as the top seed but dropped back-to-back championship matches to the underdog Drummond.

In the championship match the Lady Blackhawks took the first set from Drummond 25-17 but then fell three sets in a row 22-25, 20-25 and 21-25. With both the Lady Blackhawks and Drummond having one loss each in the tournament, a second Championship Match was needed.

The Lady Blackhawks fell behind early in the second Championship Match losing the first two sets 21-25 and 24-26. They fought back and took the next two sets 25-22 and 25-17 sending the match to a fifth set. The final set was a nail biter but Drummond came out on top 14-16.
