MBF Kids Club to host Harvest Party, Oct. 25

SEELEY LAKE – MBF Kids Club is restarting Oct. 25. They will pick up kindergartners through sixth graders after school at Seeley Lake Elementary on Mondays for a fun afternoon of snacks, games, crafts and exciting Bible lessons at Mission Bible Fellowship. On Monday, Oct. 25 will be the eighth annual Harvest Party.

Glacier Country Tourism seeks board applicants

Glacier Country Tourism, the official tourism marketing and management organization for Western Montana, is seeking applicants for positions on its volunteer board. Applicants must live in Flathead, Glacier, Lake, Lincoln, Mineral, Missoula, Ravalli or Sanders counties and work in a tourism-related business or organization.

“This is an interesting and dynamic time to be in the tourism industry,” says Racene Friede, Glacier Country President and CEO. “Tourism is one of the top two largest economic sectors in Montana and hundreds of businesses in the region depend on tourism and visitors for their livelihood. Yet we need to maintain a balance and Glacier Country is focused on ensuring economic sustainability for the region while preserving the quality of life for residents and quality of place for visitors.”

Weekly COVID-19 update

As of Oct. 18, there have been 165,941 cases of COVID-19 in Montana. There have been 1,054,372 doses of vaccines administered and 498,009 Montanans fully immunized. There are 11,109 active cases, 8,302 total hospitalizations with 449 active, 152,649 recoveries and 2,183 deaths in Montana due to COVID-19 complications. Missoula County has had 15,318 cases, 2,575 active cases, 12,596 recovered and 148 COVID-related deaths to date.
