Blackhawks keep a steady pace

THOMPSON FALLS, MONTANA – The Seeley-Swan High School Cross Country team took to the course in Thompson Falls Thursday, Sept. 23. Head Coach Shawn Holmes said it was a beautiful day for the meet and the team ran well.

Sophomore Conner Chadwick led the Blackhawks finishing in 67th with a time of 22:58.65. This was 50 seconds faster than his time last year on the Thompson Falls course.

Hot on his heals was senior Hunter Coyle who finished in 22:59.74 placing 69th.

In his first meet of the season, Blackhawk freshman Wesley Stevenson finished in 34:44.39 placing 84th.

Junior Kyla Conley was the sole runner for the Ladies. Conley finished in 18th place with a time of 23:42.43.

This week the team has two meets. They headed to Arlee on Tuesday and will run at the Polson fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 2 starting at 2:20 p.m.
