Free dryland dog mushing training camp Oct. 2-3

SEELEY LAKE - Montana Mountain Mushers is holding a free dog mushing clinic on Saturday, Oct. 2-3 at the West Side Bypass Trailhead, four miles north of Seeley Lake, Montana. All beginning or experienced mushers, runners, bike and scooter enthusiasts are invited to Canine Fun Days.

The clinic will run from 9 - 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and 9 - 11 a.m. Sunday. There will be hands-on training for everyone. Experienced dog mushers will answer questions about equipment, proper training, nutrition and venues for dog mushing.

Following the clinic, everyone is invited to a Montana Mountain Mushers at the same site at noon on Saturday for their fall meeting. Pizza will be provided by the club with donations welcome. Please bring your own beverages and chairs. In case of rain, the meeting will be moved to the Morrell Creek Pavilion just north of Seeley Lake.

Participants are asked to bring their wheeled rigs (four-wheelers, dog scooters, bikes, or carts) and dogs to the training if possible

Registration is required. Deadline for registration is Oct. 1.
