Seeley-Swan record breakers Emily Maughan, Hannah Ayers, Walker McDonald, Sariah Maughan and Klaire Kovatch were all smiles after the District 13C Track Meet. The group set five new meet records in Boys Discus, Boys Shot Put, Girls Discus, Girls Long Jump and the Girls 4x100 relay. For full coverage see page 13.
MISSOULA - Athletes from Seeley-Swan's track team competed at the District 13C meet May 14-15 in Missoula and broke five meet records. The Lady Blackhawks took first place, earning 184 points, well ahead of Drummond in second with 130. Seeley-Swan's Boys took second with 134 points behind Drummond's 168.
Walker McDonald blew the competition away in the Discus and Shot Put, setting meet records in both events. In the Discus he threw 164 feet 10 inches, besting second place by 35 feet. He won the Shot Put with a throw of 51 feet 9.5 inches. Both throws furthered his school records and are the...
