Small Business Development Centers Meet and Greet May 13

Seeley Lake area business owners (or anyone interested in starting a business!) are invited to come meet your local Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Business Advisor on Thursday, May 13 in the West Wing of the Foundation Building.

There will be two, one-hour sessions, for the convenience of busy business owners, one at 10 a.m. and another at 5:30 p.m. Pastries from Bernice's Bakery and coffee will be provided for the morning session. Pizza will be provided for the evening session, thanks to Stageline Pizza!

These informal, one-hour meet-and-greet discussions are an opportunity to get to know what resources are offered by the SBDC and make connections for the future.

Seeley Lake Community Foundation Executive Director Claire Muller said, "Over the past year, I've learned what a huge difference it makes to have a real person--who knows what they're doing and really cares--help you when you've got questions or need help getting information, rather than just some random phone number you can't get through on. Through the process of helping local businesses get COVID grant questions answered, I've been able to get to know some "heavy hitters" and great folks around the county and state. Christine is one of them! I invite anyone interested to come meet her, so you have another resource in your back pocket, and another person in your corner."

Christine Littig is the Missoula SBDC Business Advisor/ COVID Specialist. She has 25+ years of small business ownership experience in our county. Littig started, and then later sold, Missoula's renowned RedBird restaurant. In addition, she recently sold Bernice's Bakery, which she owned and operated for 13+ years of success.

Lately, Littig has been helping Missoula County businesses navigate the challenges of COVID. SBDC's expert Business Advisors also partner with business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs for no cost, one-on-one advising, customized to meet your needs.

For further details, contact the Seeley Lake Community Foundation at info@slcfmt.org or 677-3506. These meet-and-greets will be in the West Wing of the Foundation Building, at 3150 MT Hwy 83 N, Seeley Lake. We will be following current COVID county requirements.

This opportunity is part of a series the Foundation is developing thanks in part to a grant from the Foundation for Rural Service to create a community tech hub at the Foundation Building. This one-year funding will support and build upon our efforts to help the Seeley Lake community through this difficult time, face the unique challenges of rural living, and help get our community the tools and information we need to set the stage for future success.
