Giving Tree returns to Cory's Valley Market

SEELEY LAKE - It's that time of year again when our community helps some of our Seeley Lake area children to have a more joyful Christmas. Mountain Lakes Presbyterian Church started the traditional Giving Tree in the early 1990s. In keeping with tradition, it was set up at Cory's Valley Market last week. It is ready for community members to take a tag or more. Please visit the "Giving Tree" to help with this project for the children in this area at Christmas.

Parents or guardians have indicated clothing items and toys that are needed and/or wanted by the children. There are two cards for each child (one for clothing, one for a toy) listing age, gender and a gift to purchase.

All you need to do is select a card, sign it out at the check stand (don't forget) and then purchase the item indicated on the card and take the UNWRAPPED BOXED GIFT (together with the card you chose from the tree) to Cory's Valley Market no later than Wednesday, Dec. 16. The gifts will then be wrapped, labeled and given to the families a few days before Christmas.

If you or someone you know with children (eighth grade or younger) living in the home and is needing help, please tell them about the Giving Tree and ask them to call Cheri Thompson at 677-2309 or email solutions11@mac.com. Names will remain confidential.
