Al-Anon resumes weekly in-person meetings

SEELEY LAKE – The local Al-Anon group has begun meeting in-person every Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Mountain Lakes Presbyterian Church. Attendees are asked to wear masks and chairs are placed six feet apart. All ages are welcome to this open meeting. For more information email mlpc_logchurch@live.com or call 406-677-3575.

Leo’s Club Turkey Drive, Nov. 19-21

SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley-Swan High School Leos Club will be sponsoring their fourth annual Turkey Drive to support the Seeley-Swan Community Food Bank. Due to COVID, students will not be collecting turkeys and donations in-person. Instead, donations will be accepted in collection bins at the checkout stations at Cory’s Valley Market and Rovero’s Thursday, Nov. 19 – Saturday, Nov. 21. Donations can also be dropped off at Seeley-Swan High School. Please make checks payable to the SSHS Leos Club.

Angel Tree returns to Seeley Lake Fire Department

SEELEY LAKE – The annual Angel Tree will be available for families to participate in again this year at the Seeley Lake Fire Department. Stop in at the Department, 200 Firehouse Lane, Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. to sign up a child (provide name, age, gender, clothing sizes, likes and physical address for delivery) until Dec. 9.  Members of the community are invited to pick up the Angel cards. The wrapped packages must be returned by 5 p.m., Dec. 18. The Department will deliver the gifts Dec. 21.

Donations sought for Seeley Lake Elementary Christmas Store

SEELEY LAKE - Seeley Lake Elementary is seeking donations for their annual Christmas Store. They accept new and gently used items (no clothing) for all ages and also monetary donations to purchase gifts for the store. Every year there is a shortage of gifts for dads and teens.

The Christmas Store is an opportunity for students to purchase gifts for their family. Items are sold for $0.25 each. This year it will be held the afternoon of Dec. 18 at the school.

Seeley Lake Library News

SEELEY LAKE - During the week of Thanksgiving, the library will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 25 and Thursday, Nov. 26.

Missoula Public Library has a new website. The new website provides patrons with an additional resource to check out eBooks and audio books with Axis 360. To access go to missoulapubliclibrary.org. For more information about Axis 360 or the new website call 406-677-8995. 

The Seeley Lake Library has mobile Wi-Fi hotspots available for a two-week checkout. These hotspots connect to any internet-enabled device and allow patrons to access the Internet from any location.

The Seeley Lake Library is a branch of Missoula Public Library located at Seeley-Swan High School. The library is open for curbside service on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. Patrons are asked to wear masks and to remain in their vehicles during the transaction and to stay home if sick.
