Tranel - Helping Montana for the future

In this time of political division, pandemic and economic stress, we need something upon which we can all agree. Montanans all agree that we love our last best place. We all want to keep it that way. To that end, supporting our economy and keeping our natural resources pristine at the same time is paramount. That is why we are endorsing Monica Tranel for PSC.

The Public Service Commission should keep the interests of Montanans at the forefront. This means that we should promote allowing farmers and ranchers to retain their land and generate renewable energy with wind and solar. We need clean air and water for enjoyment and economic opportunity. Did you know that Monica brought a $200 million wind project before the PSC and that the PSC denied approval? Rather than bring this rare economic opportunity to Montana, the PSC ruled against Montanans. How can this be?

It is time to have Monica on the PSC. We need her levelheaded, service-oriented ethos and her unique skill set as an attorney who knows more about the energy industry and the workings of the PSC than anyone else. Monica will work for economic opportunity and more equitable utility rates for us.

Monica grew up in Montana on a working farm. She is a national champion rower and Olympian. This summer Monica biked 550 miles around her District to talk with Montanans about the importance of the PSC in creating economic opportunity, protecting Montanans from burdensome monopoly utility rates, and conducting the work of the PSC with the highest level of stewardship. If she worked this hard in her campaign, just imagine what she can do when she is a member of the commission.

We only have one Montana and electing Monica Tranel will help protect Montana for the future.
