In the late 1800’s my great, great grandfather came west from Missouri and settled with his family in a wooded area near Alberton. He was drawn to Western Montana, he said, by the power and beauty of the Rocky Mountain front. My grandpa owned and operated a small sawmill, which paved the way for my father’s introduction to the wood products industry.
