Firefighters make quick work of wildfire near Clearwater Junction

Firefighters working on the Clearwater fire Aug. 24 just north of Clearwater Junction on Highway 83.
Firefighters with the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, U.S. Forest Service and volunteers with Greenough/Potomac Volunteer Fire Department responded to a wildland fire burning near Clearwater Junction Monday night just before 6 p.m. The Clearwater Fire was around one acre when resources arrived and there was a live power line down. The fire was controlled just before 9 p.m. All resources were released by 9:30 p.m.
