Seeley Lake Elementary Outdoor and Enrichment programs suspended

SEELEY LAKE - Due to spiking COVID cases in Missoula County and in an effort to minimize potential community spread before school starts, Seeley Lake Elementary’s Adventure Club and Reading and Math Enrichment were canceled as of July 27. The school posted on their Facebook page, “Thank you for your understanding and support of our attempts to offer great programs while making health and safety of kids and staff our top priority.”

Superintendent Josh Gibbs added his comment to the post, writing that he will present several scenarios/plans to address the current status of Seeley Lake and Missoula County on Friday.

“We continue to develop our reopening plans for this fall. Our goal is to have students in person, we will continue to develop safety guidelines and set up our school to limit students grouping,” wrote Gibbs. “It was a difficult decision to suspend these programs! We hope you understand and support our decision.”
