Swan Valley Elementary School Eighth Grade Graduates

Matthew Cardenas: Matthew's favorite memory is attending Camp Utmost and meeting up with his classmate Jalen Kauffman and other friends from the school during the summer. He appreciates all of the help with his math from teacher Danni Parcell and teacher Colleen Harrington for her kindness. Harrington said Matthew is a kind, soft-spoken young man who loves to read, draw and play basketball. She wrote, "He is very thoughtful with all he says and does and has a very clever and dry wit!"

SWAN VALLEY - Swan Valley School graduated four eighth graders June 2 in a closed, in-person ceremony. The students shared their favorite memory, someone who had impacted their lives at school and their teacher Colleen Harrington wrote a little about them.

Jalen Kauffman: Jalen's favorite memory was when he, Kyla, Conner, Trista and Christopher hid from their teacher Colleen Harrington for about 30 minutes. "She came in the room we were in about three or four times it was hilarious when she eventually found us," wrote Jalen. Jalen really appreciated Dan 'Lil Danny' Maloughney writing, "He was the best staff that ever worked at the school." Teacher Colleen Harrington said Jalen is a talented musician, loves sports, enjoys reading, is a good leader and loyal friend. Harrington wrote, "Jalen has a wonderful youthful spirit that is present in everything he does."
