CORRECTION

SEELEY LAKE – In the Seeley Swan Pathfinder article, “Annual assessment may double,” published May 28, 2020, the cost of Pyramid Mountain Lumber, Inc.’s share of the Seeley Lake Sewer District’s tax bill was incorrect. Pyramid’s sewer tax bill doubled from approximately $10,000 in 2018 to approximately $20,000 in 2019. If the proposed administrative budget is passed and the assessment method stays the same, it will more than double again this year.

The administrative budget and assessment method will be discussed and adopted at a special meeting June 4 at 5:15 p.m. The Board’s regular June meeting will be held in conjunction with the Board’s organizational meeting June 15 at 5:15 p.m. Information on how to electronically attend the meetings will be available at seeleysewer.org

Share your story with StoryCorps, June 9

StoryCorps, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to recording, preserving and sharing the stories of people from all backgrounds and beliefs, will utilize a new virtual platform to record remote interviews in Montana from June 3 - July 3 as part of its Mobile Tour.

Recording reservations are available June 9 at 10 a.m. Reservations can be made by calling StoryCorps’ 24-hour toll-free reservation line at 1-800-850-4406 or visiting STORYCORPS.ORG

In a StoryCorps interview, two people are able to record a meaningful conversation with one another about who they are, what they’ve learned in life and how they want to be remembered. A trained StoryCorps facilitator guides them through the interview process. After each 40-minute recording session, participants receive a digital copy of their interview. With participant permission, a second copy is archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress and a selection of the local interviews may be included on MTPR and NPR.
