Eagles fall to Blackhawks on home court

SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley-Swan Blackhawks and Lady Blackhawks' first home game of the season was against Valley Christian Eagles Dec. 19. Friday they headed to Hot Springs to face the Savage Heat.

The Boys came out strong against the Eagles but couldn't get much more than a couple basket lead until the third quarter. They outscored the Eagles 14-4 in the third and were able to hold on for a 62-49 victory.

Owen Mercado pounded in a dozen baskets and a pair of free throws to lead the Blackhawks with 28 points. Sawyer Shelmerdine stuck in a half dozen baskets for 12 points. Quinlan Ream hit a pair...
