Ladies take second, PRs set

Freshman Emily Maughan led the Lady Blackhawks finishing in third place and setting a new personal record with a time of 20:49.59.

ARLEE – For the first time this season, a full Blackhawk team of five girls traveled to Arlee for the Arlee Fish Hatchery Challenge Oct. 10. While the meet in the past has always been for Class B and C schools, this year Class A schools joined the race with strong teams from Hamilton and Ronan. The Lady Blackhawks missed the gold by one point finishing second to Hamilton.

The team knew that this meet would be a challenge on a very difficult course. They were up for it as they set new personal records (PRs) or were very close to past PRs on the course.
