Local riders invited to participate in annual O-Mok-See

SWAN VALLEY – Area horseback riders are invited to participate in the Swan Valley Fourth of July O-Mok-See. This is an annual event held at the Swan Valley Community Arena starting at 1 p.m. Bring your horse and your friends.

This year all ages can participate in the Pole Bending, Key Hole, Western Jump, Let's Get Dressed and Barrel Races. There were will be Pair Sack Races for the 7 and under and 8-11 age groups and a Ribbon Pair Race for the 12-15 and adult age groups.

Riders pay $2.50 per event. It is free for spectators. Awards will be given for the highest points in the four age groups (7 and under, 8-11, 12-15 and adults) and a traveling trophy to the rider with the highest overall points.

Registration for the games starts at 12 p.m. following the parade. There will be a community softball game at the ball field following the O-Mok-See around 4 p.m.
