Heads up Sewer District Phase 1 property owners

SEELEY LAKE - The “information” packet mailed to you by the sewer board was not particularly vetted.  While the cover letter did have the term “Draft User Agreement” in it a number of times, the text did not make it clear that you should not sign the draft and send it back.

They also failed to put the word “DRAFT” in large letters diagonally across the draft.  This is just a draft and you SHOULD NOT sign it and send it back in.

BEFORE any final User’s Agreement can go out to you, the Phase 1 people, you have a RIGHT to have input in the formation of the Rules and Regulations and then to receive a final copy.  You also have a RIGHT to see a SOUND ESTIMATE of the COSTS for Operation and Maintenance (O & M), which the board and general manager are struggling to develop,

You should NEVER sign any document if you don’t know the conditions and costs you will be accepting.

The board mailing was suppose to invite and encourage you to attend a special board meeting (Thursday, June 6, 5:15 p.m. at the Seeley Lake Elementary School) so that you would be able to ask questions and have input into the User’s Agreement BEFORE it gets finalized.

Are you going to participate in safe-guarding your interests if the sewer project goes forward OR are you going to continue to be “victimized” so you can have a great time complaining uselessly when it is too late?  You have a series of important choices to make decisions on.
