Memorial Day ceremonies
Residents and visitors to the area are invited to attend Memorial Day ceremonies in Seeley Lake and Condon this Memorial Day.
A ceremony in Seeley Lake will be held Monday, May 27 at 11 a.m. at the Seeley Lake Memorial Garden on Highway 83 just north of Seeley Lake. The event is hosted by Veterans & Families of Seeley Lake and will honor service members that have passed. Arrive early as parking is limited.
In Condon, a Memorial Day Ceremony will be held Thursday, May 30 at 11 a.m. at the Cold Creek Bridge. The traditional memorial wreath will be dropped from the bridge. Condon Community Church will be hosting the annual lunch following the ceremony at the Swan Valley Community Hall for veterans and their families.
Seeley Lake Community Foundation scholarship application due June 30th
SEELEY LAKE — The Seeley Lake Community Foundation is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for local students. The SLCF scholarship is designed for students who have graduated from Seeley-Swan High School and have finished at least one year of college or trade school. The $1,000 scholarship is meant to assist with costs incurred at a college, university or technical school.
Applications are due June 30. Scholarship applications are available online at http://www.seeleylakecommunityfoundation.org or in the SLCF office (located in the Bison Bear Shopping Center in May, then at our new community building at 3150 Hwy 83 N beginning in June).
The Seeley Lake Community Foundation gathers and grows resources for the Seeley Lake community, and has provided Seeley-Swan students with over $10,000 in scholarships since 2006.
