Seeley-Swan cleans house at District 13C meet

MISSOULA - Seeley-Swan won the District 13C Championship May 3-4 by wide margins for both the Girls and Boys. Both took first place with 201 team points ahead of Clark Fork Coop with 114 points for the Girls and 118 points for the Boys.

Both the Girls and Boys swept the relay races winning the 4x100 and 4x400 while 12 Girls and 12 Boys advanced to the Western C Divisional Meet in individual events.

On the track for the Girls, Lily Mercer won the 100, 200 and 400. Sariah Maughan won the 800 and 1600 and Hannah Ayers won the 3200-meter.

In the field events, Klaire Kovatch won the discus, extending her own school record to 143 feet 6.5 inches. Autumn Morse won the javelin and Terra Bertsch won the pole vault and high jump.

Top finishers for the Boys included: Hunter Shelmerdine, winning the 100 and 400; Logan Robinson took the 200; and Lane Mackie-Wendel won the 110 hurdles. Walker McDonald won the discus while Nate Samuli won the javelin.

This week the Blackhawks head to the Western C Divisional Meet in Missoula May 16 and 17.
