2VS offers 2019-2020 season tickets at "early loon" prices

After a six-year hiatus, the Loon and Fish Festival is returning to Seeley Lake and 2 Valleys Stage Performing Arts Series will have their 2019-2020 season tickets for sale at “early bird” or you might say, “Early Loon” prices!

“Something Old, Something New”

No, we’re not sponsoring a wedding, but along with two new performance groups the 2019-2020 2VS season is bringing back three guest artist groups from previous seasons – ones we enjoyed so much, we wanted them to perform for us again. For those of you who missed their previous performances, you have a second chance to see them this season. For those who saw them the first time, you understand why we want them to return

Here is what we have lined up for our 2019-20 season:

Montana Shakespeare in the Parks—Aug. 1, 6-8 p.m. at the Double Arrow Lodge Grounds: Join us for our annual night of Shakespeare theater as MSIP presents, “The Merry Wives of Windsor.” Duels, deceit and attempted seduction abound in the comedy featuring Sir John Falstaff. Watch as he tries to fool two clever women and has the tables turned on him in this humorous production. This event, sponsored by 2VS, is free to the public!

Repertory Dance Theatre—Oct. 13, 3 p.m., Seeley-Swan High School: Making their first visit back to Seeley Lake since 2013, Salt Lake City’s Repertory Dance Theatre is the nation’s oldest and most successful repertory dance company. They present a diverse range of modern dance styles and choreography paired together in dynamic and unexpected ways. Their performances are filled with grace and athleticism, beauty and power.

Chinook Winds—Nov. 17, 3 p.m., Swan Valley School: Last here in our 2014-15 season, Great Falls based woodwind quartet Chinook Winds are committed and talented educators who strive to inspire the next generation of musicians and music-lovers. Present in all their performances is a passion for music and an enthusiastic approach to sharing that music with diverse audiences. It’s the passion that draws you in... you won’t want to miss a note!

Tanya Gabrielian—Jan. 5, 2020, 3 p.m., Seeley-Swan High School Auditorium: Hailed by the London Times as “a pianist of powerful physical and imaginative muscle,” Tanya Gabrielian has captivated audiences worldwide with her gripping performances. Tanya is passionate about inspiring new generations of musicians and music lovers in diverse settings. She is dedicated to community engagement, education and activism through art. Tanya was last in the Seeley Lake area in 2016 and we can’t wait for her return!

Scott Kirby—March 8, 2020, 3 p.m., Swan Valley School: Scott Kirby is a composer, a pianist and a visual artist. His multi-media stage performance features live piano music, a spoken narrative, a video presentation and original artwork created by Kirby. Perhaps the most thrilling part of Kirby’s presentation is that his program will be centered around our very own Seeley-Swan Valley. You won’t want to miss this unique presentation!

Stringfever—April 28, 2020, 7 p.m., Seeley-Swan High School Auditorium: This live electric-strings-and-beatbox quartet is “a little bit classical, a little bit rock and roll and a whole lot entertaining.” Stringfever is made up of three brothers and a cousin who hail from the United Kingdom. Their programs provide classy musicianship, comedy timing and a contemporary sound. Get ready for a fast-paced and energetic performance!

Come find 2 Valleys Stage at the Loon and Fish Festival, May 25th and 26th, at the Seeley Lake Community Hall. We will have our 2019-20 season tickets for sale at a discounted rate of $40 for all categories (regular prices are $45 for seniors and $50 for adults). The Early Loon special flies away July 1.

Don’t miss this exciting season!
