Graduation Announcement

SEELEY LAKE - Moises Roseles of Seeley Lake graduated Dec. 15, 2018 from the Montana Youth Challenge Academy. He is now continuing his education with the Clearfield Utah Job Corp. Roseles is son to mothers Crystal Melendrez and Rebecca Bowman and father Refugio Lopez of Seeley Lake.

The Montana Youth Challenge Academy is a two-phases academic-based program located in Dillon, Mont. on the campus of the University of Montana Western. The Academy's focus is to assist youth, ages 16-18 by helping them to develop the academic and life skills necessary to be successful. During the 22-week residential phase, Academy participants focus on eight core components which include physical fitness, academic excellence, leadership-followership, responsible citizenship, service to community, life-coping skills, job skills and health & hygiene.

Following graduation from the residential phase, students enter a 12-month post residential phase in which they maintain on-going contact with a volunteer mentor. Roseles's mentor is Bobby Maddox of Seeley Lake. Bowman said, "Without him onboard this wouldn't have been possible."
