Free gun locks available at Medical Center
SEELEY LAKE – Free gun locks are available at the nurses station at the Seeley-Swan Medical Center. Partnership Health Center received 100 loop locks from the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office and 60 trigger locks from the Missoula County City Health Department to distribute.
PHC Director of Innovation Mary Jane Nealon said that because PHC screens 86 percent of their patients for depression, they are able to identify individuals or their family members that may be at risk.
“It is one more way to work on prevention,” wrote Nealon in an email. “Here in Missoula, we’ve often had people take them because they are worried about a loved one. It’s a great way to normalize the conversations around suicide and accidental death.”
Angel Tree at Seeley Lake Fire Department
SEELEY LAKE – The Seeley Lake Volunteer Fire Foundation will be providing an Angel Tree for less privileged children in the Seeley Lake community. Please call the fire hall at 677-2400 or stop by the Department Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. to sign up a child.
Once an angel has been filled out, the information of what is needed (toy, clothing, or something else) will be hung on the tree in the main office. Members of the community are invited to stop in and pick an angel tag. Please return the gift, wrapped or unwrapped, to the Department by Dec. 21.

SEELEY LAKE - Come and see the newly remodeled Seeley-Swan Community Food Bank at their Open House Dec. 7 from 4 - 6 p.m. The Food Bank is located behind the Seeley Lake Elementary school need to the door to the multipurpose room.

Swan Valley - The Swan Valley AARP will meet Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 12 p.m. at the Swan Valley Community Hall. A potluck lunch hosted by Steve and Betsy Ellis will begin at 12:30 p.m. After lunch and a brief business meeting, we will have a round of games instead of a presentation.
