New kennels provide temporary holding for animals

Missoula County Animal Control Officers Tucker Chase and Sonney White outside of the 12X12 foot chain link kennels at the Missoula County Satellite Office north of Seeley Lake. Each enclosure includes a dog house, water, food and cleaning tools. While the kennels were covered this summer, the wind and sun destroyed the tarp. Officer White said they will be looking to add some bracing to the roof next year.

SEELEY LAKE – This past summer, Missoula City-County Animal Control installed two new dogs kennels at the Missoula County Satellite office north of Seeley Lake. The intent for the temporary, holding facility is to provide a place for local law enforcement officers to bring stray dogs and keep them secure, sheltered and watered until an Animal Control officer is able to come up from Missoula.
