A Salmon Prairie Road resident thought he heard thunder and another thought his neighbor was unloading logs the evening of July 2 as a semi truck with a pup trailer and Winnebago collided near Salmon Prairie Road and Highway 83. The row of mailboxes was launched to the north several feet.

SWAN VALLEY - The Swan Valley Emergency Services responded to a collision Monday, July 2 shortly after 6 p.m. A loaded semi with pup trailer attempted to pass a Winnebago near the intersection of Salmon Prairie Road and Highway 83. In what Montana Highway Patrol Officer Jason Fredenburg called a "bad pass," the truck broke off every mailbox located on the north side of Salmon Prairie Road. They were launched several feet to the north.

No one was injured in the accident that is still under investigation.
